The Secret Advantage of an Outdoor Antenna

In a previous post we explained why we think an indoor antenna is a bad idea.  A professionally installed outdoor / attic antenna will give you more channels, better signal quality and ensure that weather events and electronic signals inside your home will not detract from your viewing pleasure. 

However, the secret advantage of an antenna is this: when you watch TV from the antenna, those signals are not counted against your internet provider’s data cap. For the average consumers data caps are nothing to be concerned about.  However, if you are streaming live TV 24 / 7 and you download a lot of high end video games, then you might need to be cautious about your data caps.  Don’t worry, they give you plenty of warning about data caps so you have a few months to figure out why you are using so much data.
