What problems will I run into if I DIY Cord Cutting?
Problem 1: Confusing and Difficult
If you DIY it, your family should be prepared to make sacrifices-missing channels, glitches, complicated setup, etc. StreamWise Solutions, formerly freeTVee, does all of the work & delivers an Easy To Use Cord Cutting setup with 1 remote, 1 Interface & no TV input switching!
Problem 2: Bundle BS
You waste hours calling your Pay TV provider only to get mis-information and the run around. StreamWise Solutions guarantees to get your internet only bill down to $40-$56/mo (ALL taxes & fees included)!
Problem 3: Poor Antenna Reception
You clutter your home with cheap indoor antennas and you are missing channels or having pixelation. StreamWise Solutions guarantees to get all your channels in awesome HD w/o interruptions!
Problem 4: Streaming Buffers and Pauses
You are renting your modem/router for $14+ /mo. and you can’t stream w/o buffering & pauses. StreamWise Solutions network experts install a new modem to save you renting & a better Wifi mesh network that blankets your home in WiFi coverage!
What is streaming?
Streaming uses the internet as opposed to watching via cable, satellite or antenna signals. There are two types of streaming, on demand streaming and live streaming. Netflix is on demand streaming, which means the content is always available and not live. Watching live Cable News on Fox News or CNN is live streaming. Streaming Live TV on your big screen TV requires the right hardware setup properly by an expert.
Can’t I just subscribe to a streaming service for live TV?
Yes. However, for most people we don’t recommend doing local channels via a streaming service. You will be paying $20-$40 more than you need to every month, plus have less flexibility to cancel or pair back your channels.
Streaming Live TV uses more bandwidth, will push you over internet data caps and is more challenging than streaming Netflix. In order to stream Live TV consistently & reliably you need to make sure that you have a new high quality WiFi router/Mesh network that supports Ethernet back haul, dynamic routing, service priority management and blended dual radio signal support.
What channels can I get if I cut the cord?
Believe it or not you can actually get pretty much any channel that you can with Pay TV for free or a lot less money with no contract! Actually most people find more content than what they had with their old Pay TV provider.
Is it legal to have StreamWise Solutions install a cord cutting solution?
Yes. At StreamWise Solutions, formerly freeTVee, we do not endorse nor install any options that are not 100% legal. Please google “StreamWise Solutions Reviews”-we have been in business for over 10 years, have nothing but great reviews and are A+ certified with the BBB!
Why doesn’t StreamWise Solutions install indoor antennas?
Cheap indoor antennas clutter up your home because you need to put 1 on every TV in the house. Most importantly, they don’t work well-you end up missing channels or having the picture break up on you in the middle of your favorite show or game. StreamWise Solutions only installs a small but powerful outdoor or attic antenna – this way we can 100% guarantee reception w/o any issues on all of the major channels.
Will weather adversely affect my HD antenna channels?
If StreamWise Solutions installs your antenna, then weather should not be a problem.
Is there more than one way to cut the cord?
There are countless ways to cut the cord and we have tried all of them. Based on our 10 years of experience, we have assembled the best combination of hardware and TV services to make your transition to cord cutting quick, painless and easy to use!
Will cord cutting significantly change the way I watch TV?
When you first cut the cord, you will notice some changes. However, you will still be able to plop down on the couch, turn on the TV and start watching what you want to watch. After a few weeks you will wonder why you did not cut the cord sooner. We have noticed most of our customers actually save even more money over time by cutting back on channels they used to need but now do not, since they have so many other options for TV shows and movies.
Will an amplifier help my antenna signal?
An amplifier will not help with signal quality. If you are in a bad coverage area an amplifier will not help you get more channels. An amplifier is used to boost the signal if you have a lot of TVs in your home. Most installs do not require an amplifier. In fact, an amplifier can actually cause you to have distortion issues if it is installed improperly.
What is a digital converter box?
A digital converter box is only needed for older televisions or for newer televisions that do not have a built in tuner. Televisions built after 2007 are usually capable of directly processing digital antenna signals and therefore do not need a digital converter box. If you have an old TV that needs direct antenna signals we often recommend just buying a new TV.
