One of the great thrills of my life was appearing on Jeopardy. My wife signed me up for auditions and I went downtown to the Westin and had to play a mock round. The Jeopardy producers were looking for people who could answer under pressure. My brain works well for trivia so the audition went pretty well. The proof is in the picture. Sadly, I only took second, losing to a Boston Red Sox fan.
Watch Jeopardy for Free
Most people do not know this, but you can watch Jeopardy for free, in HD, on FOX 31 if you have an antenna. One of Jeopardy’s key sponsors is Consumer Cellular, a company we admire for their commitment to saving people money via better tech.
Much like Consumer Cellular, StreamWise Solutions is committed to saving you money. We specialize in NEXTGEN TV ready antennas that get HD programming from ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS and 65+ other local broadcast channels.
Our customers want to save money on TV but they often just lack the technical skills to DIY. Others may have the technical skills, but fear heights or spiders. We see lots of spiders in crawlspaces and attics when we are disconnecting cable and satellite.
My Impressions of Alex Trebek
The question I get asked more than any other is this: what is / was Alex Trebek like? While I wish I could say more, I will confess to being so nervous on set that I could barely pay attention. I don’t even remember what I said in his interview.
But I did feel like I had been invited into a very nice person’s home. He bantered with the Jeopardy audience, though he was a little more formal with the contestants. I got the impression he did not want to come across as being biased.
