Sling TV Price Increase
Sling TV just announced a $6/month price increase in December 2024 for all customers. At $46 /month Sling TV is still the least expensive Live streaming service if you need Cable Sports and Cable News. Some might consider Sling TV competitors like YouTube TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Stream and fubo TV – these are not recommended because they include the most expensive local network channels.
Why do costs keep going up? It’s more than inflation. Cable Sports and Cable News are the most expensive channels (behind local network channels). Any cable, satellite or live streaming service providers that has local, news, and sports channels will always be more expensive and pass that cost directly on to you. Since Sling TV is month to month, if you don’t want to pay for it you can cancel Sling TV. If needed you can subscribe to less expensive Cable live streaming service as needed for a few months. Frndly ($7 /mo.) or Philo ($28 /mo.) are both less expensive because they do NOT have Cable Sports or Cable News).
- KEEP SLING TV – Sling TV is still the best option for people that need Cable Sports and Cable News channels. While a $6 /mo. price increase seems extreme, it’s still much less expensive than cable or satellite TV with all of their sneaky fees.
