Xfinity Has Been Experiencing A Lot Of Outages In The Denver Area Recently
If you have been a long time customer of Xfinity, you must have thought the following:
“I am so fed up with Xfinity. They have been having many outages lately, and the service has gone down for several days at this point. I’m ready to cancel my subscription until they get their act together.”
Not that long ago, I felt the same way you felt. The problem I had with Comcast Xfinity Internet was that it kept going out on me, and when it did go out, there would be no internet for hours at a time. The Xfinity outage was highly frustrating because I work from home and need to have access to the internet all day long to do my job effectively.
There were only two options: either cut the cord and lower my bill or cancel Xfinity. Since my options are limited to living in Denver, Colorado, I opted to cut the cord. However, I didn’t do it myself since it seemed convoluted and was time constraining.
These Outages Have Been Happening For Weeks And Are Affecting People’s Daily Lives
Unfortunately, as an Xfinity internet customer, the internet is an essential part of our lives, especially for people who work from home or rely on online stores to make purchases. These outages have been happening for weeks and are affecting people’s lives in a significant way!
You feel hopeless, annoyed, and perhaps angry at these Comcast Xfinity outages. Calling sometimes never works; they never seem to pick up or connect with you to a customer service agent.
As someone who has experienced the same thing, I know that it is frustrating when your internet goes down. It can be challenging to get any work done or even talk on the phone without internet service. The best way to avoid these problems is by cutting the cord or switching providers before it happens again. You deserve better than an unreliable internet service provider.
However, if you still want to stick with Comcast Xfinity, I have a solution for you. I is called cord-cutting. “Cord-Cutting” is the act of cutting out your TV service while retaining the internet service. When you cut the cord, your bills will decrease, including your internet service.
By deciding to cut the cord, you:
- Make monthly bills lower
- Watch all of your favorite shows
- Stream movies that you might have missed in theaters
- No long term contracts
- Quick setup
- Live TV, On-Demand, & DVR reimagined for today’s technology enthusiast
- Never have to pay for cable again

What To Do: Comcast Xfinity Outage Guide
This guide will help you earn credit back to your Xfinity service account due to the outage, bypass holding times, and check if your area has been affected. As a bonus, I will include a solution to cut the cord and finally save money on your monthly Xfinity bills.
Check If Your Area Has Been Affected By The Xfinity Outage
To check if you have been affected by the Xfinity outage, I recommend you to sign in to Xfinity’s status center.
To do this, go to Xfinity’s Status Center. When you log in, you will also learn the approximate time it will take to mitigate the outage. However, if you need a direct answer from a customer service agent and want to get credit for the blackout, read on.
Check GetHuman Before Calling About The Xfinity Outage
Lines are tied up, and you can’t seem to get a hold of someone. Perhaps, you want to know how long you need to wait on the phone.
Check GetHuman! This unique service lets you know the best time to call, hours of operation, and the best numbers for direct access to a department. Also, GetHuman has a free trial feature that allows you to input your number while calling on your behalf. Although this is a premium feature, your first call will be free.
Call Xfinity Service Line
The best number to call Xfinity is 1-800-XFINITY (1-800-934-6489). This line is for all your questions and concerns about Xfinity services, such as internet, outages, and cable TV.
When calling, expect hold times. However, if you check GetHuman, you will have an estimate of what to expect.
Does Xfinity Comcast Give Credit For Outages?
Yes! Xfinity Comcast does give credit refunds for outages. However, it would be best if you were firm and patient to get additional credit. For example, you can potentially get an extra 20% off your bill if you call complaining about how the outage affected your work or business for the number of hours the outage occurred.
Take advantage and ask! If it doesn’t work the first time, call again. It is important to remember that you are polite and firm.
Comcast Xfinity Internet Not Working, What Now?
If you have zero internet access or the service is spotty at best, I recommend you save the Xfinity customer service line 1-800-XFINITY (1-800-934-6489). To make sure that it isn’t a modem-related issue, reset it.
If you believe it has something to do with your internet speed, optimizing your internet to increase the speed may be the solution.
Sticking With Xfinity Despite Constant Outages In Denver, Colorado?
I don’t know about you, but I have had enough with constant service outages. I am a busy professional and do not have the time to sit around waiting for my internet to come back. It is simply too much of a hassle. My recommendation is to not stay with Xfinity Comcast due to year-over-year bill increases and unnecessary bundles. However, if you are still interested in staying with Xfinity, there are options.
Paying For Unlimited Data
If you share my opinion on paying Xfinity more money every month (on top of the monthly internet charge I already pay for), then don’t worry. You can be an intelligent consumer and only get unlimited data on your account if necessary! It is another way to make extra revenue. Still, when companies are as greedy as Comcast, they find ways to take in even more income without having any real commitment or responsibility with their customers.
Despite what Xfinity claims, you don’t need unlimited data.
Getting All The TV Channels You Want Without Contracts
You don’t have to spend your money on expensive cable or satellite TV anymore! Be smart about saving and get all of the most popular channels in HD without using any data at all. So next time you’re out shopping for a new antenna, make sure it’s an outdoor one so that you’ll always be able to see what is happening with local news live as well as watch sports games for free too!
Another benefit of using an HD Antenna is that it uses no data at all! Considering your local news, favorite sports, and shows can all be watched data-free and cost-free.
