Dish blacked out Channel 9 KUSA and Channel 20 KTVD in Denver
Denver Channel 9 KUSA (NBC) and Channel 20 KTVD (MyNetworkTV) are currently blacked out due to licensing dispute between Dish and programmer Tenga. The blackout started on Oct. 9th and may not get resolved for months with both companies publicly blaming the other in the media. Popular shows including 9News, the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Sunday Night Football and the Denver Broncos Huddle are all blacked out to Dish customers. A public statement by Tenga on the 9news.com website. And Dish posted this statement on their website.
Overpriced and problematic
Instead of paying hundreds of dollars every month for a Dish satellite bundle, you could be watching Channel 9 and Channel 20 plus more than 60 local channels for free forever. And don’t trust Tenga, they only list paid alternatives with cable companies to get these channels, not telling you that these channels are available for free via an antenna.
Dish adds $5.00 increase to all subscription packages.
Contract disputes happen repeatedly with Dish and various programmers. Dish customers took a big hit in 2020 when Dish blacked out channel 31 or channel 2 news. Even though Dish has no problem raising rates every year, their customers are being left in the dark with yet another blackout dispute.
Dish is also currently blacking out Altitude Sports and AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain. Dont be fooled, DirecTV and Comcast Xfinity also do the same thing and have numerous black outs every year.
StreamWise Solutions will help you cut your monthly Satellite bundle bill in half and take control back from Dish for good!
