freeTVee Podcast Interview: Cut the Cord to Save Money
In this podcast, Brian Cavanaugh, the founder of freeTVee, answers questions about cord cutting’s ability to save you money. We are grateful to the podcast team over at Your Life, Simplified. They cover all kinds of money saving tips, tricks and strategies. In previous episodes they covered topics as diverse as saving for college and emergency planning.
In the podcast Brian covers a lot of important issues related to cord cutting. Unfortunately we don’t have a transcript of the entire podcast but we will summarize it here.
Brian opens his conversation with the host by speaking about his work experience prior to freeTVee. He speaks frankly about his love of great customer service and how he likes helping people. If you want to understand our attitudes toward customer service, then this podcast is for you.
After his brief comments on customer service, he starts to explain the challenges faced by potential cord cutters. However, he first defines cord cutting. Brian defines cord cutting as “freeing yourself from expensive cable and satellite bundles.”
The host then tells Brian that he does not even know where to begin to cut his cable cord. At this point, Brian really swings into the nuts of bolts of cord cutting and how to save money. He tells the story of how a simple antenna will work for some people and give them free TV for life. More importantly, he tells the story of the evolution of antenna technology.
The remainder of the podcast covers how to get cable channels much cheaper. For most of our potential customers, this is the most important part of the podcast. He also covers some of the sacrifices that some customers need to make if they want to take control of their TV budget.
Even if you don’t go with our services, listen to this podcast to educate yourself about cord cutting. Brian covers all the topics you need to know, including the bandwidth speeds required to be an effective cord cutter.
